How can I find the perfect engagement ring?
Choosing an engagement ring is a huge decision and knowing where to begin may seem daunting, so we suggest you follow these three easy steps:

ready-to-wear or bespoke design, is largely dependent on the size (carat weight) and
quality of the gemstones. When it comes to size, we always advise quality over
quantity, since a poor quality diamond, regardless of its impressive size, will always
lack the beautiful sparkle of a high quality stone.
How can I find out my partner's ring size without them knowing?
Ring sizing is not an exact science as sizing varies depending on the width of a ring.
To determine an approximate ring size, you can compare a ring they own to your
own finger or take this borrowed ring to a jeweller. Once you choose a ring, we
provide ring sizing as complimentary, so your engagement ring will fit perfectly.
Is it possible to design a custom engagement ring?
Yes of course. We specialise in designing and crafting bespoke engagement rings.
Our custom made rings take approximately 6 weeks to create. Each bespoke ring is
meticulously crafted by hand in Ireland by our master Goldsmiths. We hand source
the diamonds and gemstones for our bespoke designs and only use superior quality,
ethical stones.
What does diamond carat weight mean and how does it differ from total caratweight?
Carat weight refers to the weight of a single gemstone, while total carat weight
represents the combined weight of all the gemstones in the ring. For example, a ring
with a single 1-carat diamond has a carat weight of 1 carat, while a ring with several
smaller diamonds totalling 1 carat has a total carat weight of 1 carat. Understanding
this helps you compare different ring designs and costs.
Should I choose a diamond or another gemstone for an engagement ring?
Diamonds are the traditional choice for an engagement ring, thanks to their
durability and timeless beauty. Other gemstones like sapphires and rubies can also
be excellent choices. Consider your favourite colours and personal style when
selecting a gemstone. We always advise considering the gemstone's hardness and
suitability for everyday wear, as engagement rings are typically worn every day.

What if I already own a diamond or heirloom piece of jewellery that I would liketo incorporate into a custom made engagement ring. Is this possible?
Yes we can - we love reimagining old pieces into new. The custom engagement ring
design can be something you’ve come across before or have in mind, or if you're
unsure, we'll show you different styles and ideas from our past and present
engagement ring collections for inspiration.
Once the design of your custom engagement ring is decided, the materials from your own jewellery (the gemstones and the gold) may be used by our Goldsmith to handcraft the new design. Sometimes the custom engagement ring is made with additional diamonds or gemstones. If so, we will source suitable diamonds or gemstones to match the quality and size of your existing ones.

If I see a ring I like on your website or socials but would prefer a different metal (e.g. yellow gold instead of white gold), or different sized diamonds, is this possible?
Yes, please get in touch. All of our engagement ring designs can be customised on
request.
Are your diamonds ethically sourced?
Yes, all of our diamonds are ethically sourced and adhere to the Kimberly process.
Do you have a payment plan option?
We are happy to accept deposits and payment in instalments. We do not have a
strict payment plan or timeline, once you choose your engagement ring and pay a
10% deposit, we set it aside for you and you are welcome to pay the remaining
balance as and when it suits you.
What if I need to have my engagement ring resized?
Engagement ring resizing is provided. Our goldsmiths always resize rings by
inserting gold, we do not "stretch rings" as this can weaken the setting and lead to
future problems. Therefore there is a limit to how many sizes an engagement ring
should be resized. For instance, if you see an engagement ring in stock that you love
but it is much too large or small, it may not be appropriate to resize the ring to this
degree. Instead we can order or custom make this engagement ring for you in your
ring size.
Can I get my engagement ring engraved?
Yes. We offer a complimentary engraving service for all of our engagement and
wedding rings. Character restrictions do apply.
Can I return a purchased engagement ring?
Yes, if you purchase an engagement ring for your loved one and it is not the perfect
ring, we can exchange the ring for you.
What does your engagement ring after-sales service include?
We provide the best in after-sales service. Your precious engagement ring is
designed to last and regular servicing and cleaning ensures its longevity.
We offer complimentary ring setting checks. Rings worn every day are exposed to lots of banging, tugging and twisting and a loose or damaged claw is usually why diamonds fall out.

We advise having ring settings checked approximately every year.
We examine the ring under a microscope to check that the settings are secure. Any
engagement rings that require attention are evaluated and restored by our
goldsmiths. A cost estimation is always provided before completing any work.
Do I receive a valuation report with my engagement ring?
A complete valuation report is provided for your engagement ring. This valuation is valid
for insurance purposes.
What happens in an engagement ring appointment?
Engagement ring appointments take place in our Gladstone street store in Clonmel,
Co. Tipperary. We have a private viewing room where you can browse at leisure.
