At Ryan Thomas, all of our wedding ring designs are available to customise in your preferred choice of metal, whether sterling silver, gold (yellow, rose or white) or platinum. How much does a wedding ring cost?
The cost of a wedding ring varies, depending on the choice of metal and the ring
design.
Our women's wedding ring collection features plain rings and diamond rings in 9ct gold (white, yellow, and rose) and platinum.
The starting price of women's wedding rings are as follows:
9ct gold plain wedding rings: Starting from €400.
18ct gold plain wedding rings: Starting from €900.
Platinum plain wedding rings: Starting from €750.
Diamond wedding rings: €975.
Our men’s wedding ring collection features designs in sterling silver, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum, tantalum and carbon fibre.
The starting price of men's wedding rings are as follows:
Sterling silver wedding rings: Starting from €95.
9ct gold plain wedding rings: Starting from €450.
18ct gold plain wedding rings: Starting from €1100.
Platinum plain wedding rings: Starting from €900.
Tantalum and carbon fibre wedding rings: Starting from: €350.
When should we order our wedding rings?
The ideal time to schedule your wedding ring appointment is around 6-9 months before your wedding date. This may seem like a long time but it gives you plenty of time to find your perfect wedding ring, to have the ring sized if required, engrave the rings should you wish, or commission a custom made, handcrafted band if you do not find your perfect wedding ring in our ready-to-wear collection. Custom made, handcrafted wedding bands take a minimum of 6 weeks to create.
Once you choose your wedding rings, a 10% deposit is required. The remaining balance can be paid as and when you wish, up to the final collection of the rings. (Most couples collect their wedding rings close to the date of their wedding).
Should we have matching wedding rings?
It’s entirely up to you! Most of our couples do not have matching wedding rings,
often choosing a different metal and metal colour.
Do we pay for our wedding rings up front?
We do not require payment for the total cost of your wedding rings upfront.
Once you choose your wedding rings, a 10% deposit is required, and the remaining
balance can be paid as and when you wish, until the final collection of the rings.
What should I engrave on my wedding ring?
Most couples choose to engrave the name of their partner and the date of the
wedding on their ring.
How do I determine the correct size of my wedding ring?
Ring sizing is not an exact science as sizing varies depending on the width of a ring.
Therefore it is always necessary to try on wedding rings in person. Once your
wedding ring is selected, we can assess your ring size for that particular ring.
What metal should I choose for my wedding ring?
There are plenty of metal options for both women’s and men’s wedding bands.
If your engagement ring is 18ct gold, we advise you to choose an 18ct wedding ring. If
you are looking for a diamond wedding band, we also advise you to opt for an 18ct
gold band.
How do I match a wedding ring to my engagement ring?
Finding your dream ring stack takes a little time. Trying on wedding rings together
with your engagement ring is a must. Therefore, doing some research online to
discover different styles is helpful, but when it comes to deciding on the exact ring,
try on the wedding ring alongside your engagement ring in person.
Depending on the setting of your engagement ring, sometimes a curved band sits
better, or else opt for a custom made band if you’re looking for a very particular
design.
Can I create a custom wedding ring?
Yes, of course. Our custom made wedding rings take approximately 6 weeks to
create. Each bespoke wedding ring is meticulously crafted by hand in Ireland by our
master Goldsmiths. We personally source the diamonds and/or gemstones for our
bespoke designs and use only the most superior quality, ethical stones.
Should I choose a diamond wedding ring?
It’s entirely up to you! Our collection features both plain bands and diamond bands,
and the choice depends on your personal style. In our experience, once you try on
both styles in store, and see how both options look beside your engagement ring,
you will quickly discover which style you prefer.
My engagement ring is 18ct gold. Can I wear a 9ct gold wedding ring?
It is advisable to match the same metals. Therefore, if you have an 18ct gold
engagement ring (which is most likely), we strongly advise you to pair your ring with
an 18ct gold wedding band.
Do you supply a wedding coin?
Yes we do. Our wedding ring coin is complimentary - our wedding gift to you! We
engrave this wedding coin with your names and the date of your wedding.
